This is more a mousse-like cake at room temp, which we prefer to chilled & denser texture. The raspberry gel/jam is not too sour or sweet, being a nice contrast to the richer chocolate. A very satisfying dessert, especially when it is low calories!

It’s first time ordering cake from Locaba for my bf’s birthday. This cake is really pretty and we all extremely love it! The sweetness is just nice contrast with the sourness from raspberries and the texture of its cake is not too dry which better than what I was expected. However we all feel that the sourness from raspberries can be too sour sometimes if taste it alone or with too little of chocolate cake part.
But we still enjoyed this cake a lot anyway! My bf himself alone can finished half of its cake. Lol ^^ Since it’s low carb and low calories. Everything definitely worth it!
Love to try other flavour next time. Would be better if you sell in slices or combine all flavours in one whole cake too. Thank you Locaba!

The cake is so pretty and thank goodness not too sweet. The sourness of the raspberries contrasted well with the sweetness of the chocolate. Thumbs up! Only issue we have is that it is a little too gritty for our taste, like having little grains of sand in the mouth feel. Hence, the mousse is not as smooth tasting as expected. Otherwise, it is a perfect gluten free cake! Will try other flavours next round! Thanks Locaba!

Very delicious cake. Enjoyed it thoroughly. The top had some jelly raspberry layer which provided a sour tart to the sweet and rich chocolate fudge cake. Can’t wait to try the other cakes too.

Thank you, Junfei for this feedback! There might be grainies because we don’t use conventional gelatin which would guarantees a decent texture but is animal based (mostly pork or bovine). This contradicts our idea of clean baking, so we use the plant-based agar agar. This is healthier and does not cause a difference in taste but the texture might be a little different to what you might be used to from products with gelatin.

Ordered yesterday for 2nd day delivery. Fantastic cake with just right amount of sweetness. The cake is harder than I expected with some grainies running through. But it does not affect the taste. With low carb, it is so worth it. Recommend and will try other flavour as well.
